Dance and Live Music
With Kerwin Barrington & Christiaan Brun del Re
Our collaboration is rooted in an ongoing exploration of the relationship between live music and dance, approached through the shared languages of rhythm, improvisation, and deep listening. Together, we have travelled across diverse contexts, creating performances and facilitating workshops that invite dialogue between sound and movement. Each encounter becomes a space for discovery. Our practice embraces spontaneity, presence, and the unexpected, revealing rhythm as both a structure and a living force that connects us all.
Christian Maria Brun del Re is constantly changing their mind. Their fluidity is shaped by a dialogue with dance, costumes, sound waves, improvisation, ritual, and phosphene. They stand on the shoulders of so many people to whom they owe gifts they can never repay — mentors, friends, strangers, GLAMOUR MAGIQUE, the fuit.es collective, la société mousse, Infinite Parachute, and the more-than-human.
Notable performances include Cartographie d’une friche by Fjord Gagnebin and Avec des mains fragiles at UQÀM, as well as Follow the Roots to Find the Earth by Kerwin Barrington. They also took part in Blank Placard Dance, Replay and Multitude, presented at the Festival TransAmériques (FTA) in 2017 and 2024, directed respectively by Anna Halprin / Anne Collod and Tamara Cubas.
Their duo Glamour Magique, formed with Rafa, has been presented at Cabaret Dada (Festival Phénoména), FestiQueer Rimouski, La Grande Rentrée (UQÀM), Écotone at the Cité des Hospitalières, the Festival des Arts Entrelacés (FAE), and the Hochelag: Queer et NU.E.S. Festival. Their latest creation, Le début des yeux, was presented as part of Danse Buissonnière at Tangente in Fall 2025, and a new long version is scheduled for the 2026 Fringe Festival.

Rhythm & Groove
With Kerwin Barrington & Noam Guerrier-Freud
This workshop was developed by a drummer (Noam) and dancer (Kerwin) with the intent
to explore how movement and rhythm are intrinsically connected. Participants are invited
to learn about both art forms while connecting with their inner sense of rhythm and, in
movement, allowing themselves to be guided by their inner self. This experience brings
all of us closer to a shared space we call the GROOVE.

Tuesday Night Dances :
Moving Through Sensation
With Kerwin Barrington & Mathi LP
Built in a relational way, this class puts learning through experience at the center. We will explore the knowledge that inhabits us in movement through dance phrases, improvised explorations using the tool of Axis Syllabus principles and a variation of somatic practices.
This co-teaching format gives us a platform to dialogue and learn from each other’s practices, as many dances exist in the same proposal.
This course is accessible to all levels.

Dance & Paint
With Kerwin Barrington & Adele Reeves
This creative experience includes improvisation, movement explorations, games, drawing, painting, crafting.
Workshops for all ages which explore a dialogue between:
Visual arts with Adele Reeves--Using mixed media on a large sheet of heavy paper, we will layer drawing and painting, exploring water, self reflection, melting and opening our creative flow.
Contemporary dance with Kerwin Barrington--Moving with/through/from/about/by the heart. With a focus on embodying the wisdom of the heart through different movement explorations and dance motifs.
